The central board of secondary education is a national level board of education in India for private and public schools which is controlled and managed by the government of India. It was established in 1929 by a resolution of the government. CBSE offers academic subjects in 40 different languages. Most of the schools affiliated with CBSE are all Kendriya Vidyalaya, all Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, private schools and the schools which are approved by the central government of India. All state government schools of Delhi are affiliated with CBSE. The board is designed in such a way that it provides students with both intellectual and practical skills. It is very structured and up to date. The board is known for its theoretical and practical knowledge which helps students be in depth with various subjects. This comes in handy during Competitive exams such as JEE and NEET and others.

Class 10th Exam
The CBSE board has revised the Class 10th exam pattern on their official website. According to the New Education Policy the board aims to ensure that students focus less on rote learning and more on understanding the concepts. The exam will consist of case based questions, select type MCQs and short/long answers. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers . In class 10th, around 50% of the questions will be based on competency(Case based MCQs) according to last year trends, 20% of MCQs and 30% of short/long answers questions.to be noted, A student must score a minimum 33% in every subject and overall to qualify 10 board Examinations. The result is concluded by including both theory and practical exam marks. The practical exam will have a weightage of 20 marks. The exam duration will be 3 hours.
Examination Pattern:
Students need to focus on the examination pattern for their upcoming exams. This will help students in their exam preparation as it will be decided as per the latest syllabus. Examination pattern is one of the most important changes made in the New Education Policy. As it is one of the most important requirements for the Board Exams. An overview of the changes made in the CBSE Exam pattern are as follows:

As per the new CBSE exam pattern, the Board will follow competency-based multiple-choice questions.

Internal Assessment for Class 10 and Class 12 will cover marks for unit tests, exploratory activities, practical exams and projects.

According to the revised pattern of the CBSE exam 2022-23, candidates will be evaluated throughout the year.
Class 12th Exam
The CBSE board has revised the Class 12th exam pattern on their official website. According to the New Education Policy the board aims to ensure that students focus less on rote learning and more on understanding the concepts. There are some recent modifications made in CBSE exam pattern. For the session 2024-25, the percentage of competency-based questions including MCQs, case-based questions has been increased from 40% to 50%. Whereas, constructed response questions including short and long answer questions have been reduced from 40% to 30% , and select response type questions of 20%. As the changes have been made for more conceptual learning instead of rote learning students can assume that the upcoming exam will have a high difficulty level. This vital step has been taken to alleviate application skills of students. CBSE class 12th exam are of total 100 marks per subject. The result is concluded by including both theory and practical exam marks. The practical exams are conducted internally by schools which have a weightage of 20 marks. The students need to score minimum 33% in each subject and overall to pass the exams.The exam duration will be 3 hours.
